There is few subclasses that were created over the years, like carrier variant, heavy attack variant (Muffanese - possibly only one retrofited). It is unknown if they remain in service after 801, but it is possibly that they did (even as irregulars, once again) These class of ships served as backbone of Alliance heavy fleet and later Yang fleet. Civilian experts believed that for every new ships of this class need between 4-8 months although they could be built in shorter time of 2-3 months if needed. Due fact that both Alliance and Empire had highly advanced shipyards which were almost fully automated, they could built massive number of this ships in relative short time. Its smaller, more modular and faster then its Imperial counterpart. Armament: 8x 20cm neutron beam cannons (nose or bow cannons), 22x 15cm electron beam cannons, 6x 12cm railguns, 12x multiple missile launchers, 22x lasers in single mounts, 10x dual mount lasers, 12x spartanian fighters (2x main fighter launcher bays). It has crew of 660 officers and enlisted. Standard Alliance battleship (or simply call it Ulysses type) is 624 meters long(my scale is slightly off). But it is possible since Alliance was in war with Empire for 150 years, and it its possible that between 740's to 801 that many were built, i believe personally that around 20-50 thousand were built and that would be more realistically then 200k. The whole Alliance fleet was not that big. Over the course of few decades around two hundred thousand of them were built(i personally do not believe that there were 200,000 ships built of this class. Those first ships were designated as GW-H1. Ship of this class were first launched in last years of 740's (space calendar). Ship on the pic is the Ulysses, the flagship of Admiral Yang Wenli. The curves behind the bow are been royal pain in side and i may not make them right but as i said it looks good for now (at least to me).
Ship is completed fully, there is some things that should be corrected, i may do that, but for now i think it looks nice. Its my first ship for the series, i hope il do more of them.
#Legend of galactic heroes ships series#
I have finally watched the last episode of this OVA series, and WOW! just doesn't seem to cover it.So here is the first ship from the Legends of Galactic Heroes series (i am sure some of you watch the series and know about this ship), But with so many anime series now that are like a flavor of the month, a licensed release of LOGH seems like it will never happen. The series may never be brought to the US dubbed because of it's length, although the task of it would not be impossible seeing as the Urusei Yatsura fans have gotten the last DVD box set of that series. Which is why I liken it to the Babylon 5 of anime. Making it one of the best anime series that hardly any one has ever seen. The series is epic in scope and legendary in it's execution.
If you look at these two characters they want the same thing for their people, you think they could have been friends if the situations were different. The differences are the two characters approach, Lohengram wants more power to effect that change and Yang wants none. Yang to wishes an end to the corruption in the so called democracy of his government. This makes him well versed in past military tactics and a genius in his own rights.
#Legend of galactic heroes ships free#
On the side of the Free Planets there's Yang Wen-Li, who joined the military just to pay his tuition to be a historian. On the Empire side there is Reinhard Von Lohengram, military ace and nexus point to bring about change within the Empire and do away with the corrupt nobles. The break down is it's the story of the struggle between two empires and the two heroes at the center of it all, each fighting for their own reasons. That would make Legend of Galactic Heroes (LOGH) like the Babylon 5 among anime! Word of this series is spread by showing at anime clubs, conventions and word of mouth by fans. Gundam has been described as being to Japan what Star Trek is to the USA.
